Solving Driver Unavailable Issue on Windows 10 Printer

Problem

You are installing your brand-new printer (especially HP brand). You want to install it as your network printer through wireless network. However, when you add the printer on your Microsoft Office. It is shown that

  • Driver Unavailable (Printer & Scanner Dialog)
  • The Active directory domain services is currently unavailable

Cause

The possible cause of this issue is uncompleted driver installation. It can be happened when your HP printer and your PC is not on same network. For example: in my case, the printer is on first floor while the router is on second floor. And I have two additional range extenders.

Possible solution

  1. Configure your HP printer to connect into a network. This can be done by connecting your printer to your configured network. Just use HP Installer to make it happen.
  2. Give your HP Printer with static IP Address
  3. Uninstall the entire driver from HP
  4. Restart your PC
  5. Connecting to the internet
  6. Add your printer and use Windows 10 default driver.
  7. Please wait, because the driver is installed from Windows Update
